Some Questions I’d Like to Answer
How do you decide how to price your healing sessions? Is your healing only reserved for well resourced people?
I have realized that being a self-employed healer is very expensive. Between costs, higher tax rates, and needing to pay for insurance, and realistic capacity, I have had to learn the hard way that the U.S. pricing structure encourages working for big corporations and it takes a lot to support small businesses. I am setting prices so that I can support myself with this work and be able to do this work full time. Also, the healing sessions I have tend to be, from feedback given, very impactful for the amount of time needed so less sessions are needed for substantial results.
In the long term it is very important to me be really creative so that healing is not reserved for the rich and I hope to come up with more creative ideas on how to do this. In the meantime, I will continue to share free resources through my email newsletters, YouTube, and social media account, and continue to incorporate lower cost offerings into my quarterly schedule.
Do we have similar values? Do you have community values?
I would like to share more about my long term vision for my business. I’ve thought a lot about pricing structure and balancing being able to support myself financially with giving back. I do and will continue to grow in would giving back and invest in ways that aligns with my values: shopping locally, offering low cost/free offerings to people who come from disadvantaged socioeconomic places, investing in local arts, investing in living in a more eco way, with the planet, etc.
I am working through trauma related to my identity (as a POC, LGBTQ or other marginalized group member), are you able to hold a safe space for me?
My intention 100% is to hold a safe space for you. I have always cared a lot about learning about different experiences other than my own and undoing societal racist, homophobic, etc. conditioning within myself. As a mixed person, I feel that creating inclusive spaces around me is one of my biggest values.
While I know that only your body can decide whether a space is safe, I strive to create the safest space possible.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations are required to be 24 hours in advanced to 1-1 sessions and for classes after the first class you can withdraw as long as the class is not full/ I cannot find someone to take your place. If you withdraw, the amount will be prorated according to the 1 class you attended.
