Spiritual Strength is Needed During Election Season
Reposted from Substack
I think when there is division and fear of the future, it feels more important than ever to practice mindfulness. Often healing techniques are talked about in the context of just for personal healing, but how can we apply introspection to the way we move through the world? Are we perpetuating the same energy that we are hurt that others are? What is the point of the way we move on the internet?
The main thing to think about is that energy is a finite source. Is the way we are using our energy productive for the world we want to create and live in? Are we doing enough to take care of ourselves in these tough times? I’m planning on camping this weekend and I think being off the internet will be healthy for me, as I’ve been really feeling a lot of bleeding heart sadness come up and I’ve needed to take time to cry and process the sadness of the state of the world I’ve felt my whole life! But when we process the past, we can be present in the moment and see things clearly instead of having so much baggage.
In addition, when we are mindful of the way we move through the political climate, we can reflect on the best use of our energy to embody more of our purpose. Is your purpose going to help more in the long term if you stay hopeful? Are you here to embody peace? What would that look like?
I’d love to hear if anyone has any reflections you can leave in the comments or message me. Also leave a comment or message me if you’re interested in more info about solo camping <3

I had this conversation with Jessica and I really recommend it. I think we talk about a lot of juicy subjects that are not easy to find talked about in other places: https://youtu.be/Wj4oNMXxVLM?si=oY3E9dtJZ5EcJ1Lz
Save the date, I’m having another SATX Dreamers Council Meeting on November 19th. Here is the event page again: https://ariellesheart.com/events

Elderberry syrup making during the fall months to stock up on when it’s sick season! Elderberries help boost our immune system and are my favorite as well as Echinacea and Ginger. Here is a recipe that is similar to the one I followed: (I got mine from my Herbalism class) https://blog.mountainroseherbs.com/elderberry-syrup-recipe
